Catherine E. Chopin



Ms. Chopin recently transitioned from criminal prosecution to civil litigation defense.  Prior to joining Royston Rayzor, Ms. Chopin first chaired over 130 criminal jury trials. She spent four years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas in the Criminal Prosecutions Division, White Collar Crimes and Public Integrity Unit.  In addition to providing legal advice and assistance to state agencies, local prosecutors, and law enforcement, she investigated and prosecuted high-level white collar and public integrity defendants, including attorneys and politicians.  She also served as an Assistant District Attorney for Nueces County for four years where she prosecuted both felony and misdemeanor cases, as well as supervised the misdemeanor intake division.
