Profile

"[Opposing counsel would call me] a tough, honest, and ethical lawyer who doesn't play games...a skilled litigator who will defend his clients to the best of his ability."

Mr. Guerra concentrates his practice in the field of civil litigation. He has had significant experience representing insurance companies in numerous complex legal matters, including personal injury and wrongful death. His other areas of practice include admiralty and maritime law, construction litigation, products liability, toxic torts, transaction and finance, and labor, employment and OSHA. Mr. Guerra is BV-rated by Martindale Hubbell and has been named a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star for the past three years.

In addition to his successful law practice, Mr. Guerra is an active force in the community. He is currently serving a term as president of the Cameron County Bar Association and sits on the board of directors of the Su Clinica Familiar, an innovative community health clinic in the Rio Grande Valley. He is also active as a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in San Benito, Texas.

Prior to his joining Royston Rayzor, Mr. Guerra served as a Felony First Chair Prosecutor and Chief of the Misdemeanor Division with the Cameron County District Attorney's Office.
