Ms. Raborn represents clients in federal and state court, at the trial and appellate level, and in international arbitration. She has experience litigating a broad range of matters, with particular emphasis on maritime and insurance coverage matters. She also handles commercial, ERISA, employment, personal injury, and intellectual property disputes.
She was previously seconded to the legal department of a major U.S. oil refining company, supporting the marine operations group, the lubricants business unit, IT, and corporate procurement. While in that role, she managed all litigation, pre-litigation disputes, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations for her assigned business clients. Ms. Raborn also negotiated national refinery turnaround agreements and various insurance and indemnity issues arising in procurement and maintenance agreements, and continues to assist with those negotiations as outside counsel.
Ms. Raborn has extensive experience negotiating and providing counsel regarding procurement and service contracts related to the oil and gas industry, with particular knowledge of risk transfer provisions.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Raborn served as a law clerk for the Honorable U.S. Magistrate Judge Mary Milloy of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
