Corpus Christi

The scorecard that tracks votes on issues affecting the state's air, water, natural areas and quality of life places Representative Abel Herrero, D-Robstown, at 100 percent. In addition he offered an amendment to crack down on illegal air pollutions from oil refineries.  "I'm thankful to be recognized as someone who protects the environment, our most valuable resource," said Herrero. "I realize the need to protect the most critical resources."  In the next session he intends to push for incentives that reward individuals and companies that make capital improvements that are good for the environment.
