Three Royston Attorneys Named 2012 Rising Stars by Super Lawyers Magazine

Erick Lucio, Brian Miller, and Jay Huffman of Royston Rayzor Vickery & Williams L.L.P. have been selected as Super Lawyers magazine’s 2012 Texas Rising Stars. The list of Rising Stars will appear in the April 2012 edition of Texas Monthly magazine.

Lucio is a partner in the firm’s Brownsville office.  His practice involves representing a broad range of institutions, businesses, individuals and insurers in South Texas.  Lucio’s emphasis is on the defense of claims resulting from construction defects, commercial disputes, personal injury and transportation related accidents.  Lucio represents clients in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and mediation forums, and provides pre- and post-litigation risk avoidance analysis and counseling. Lucio is a graduate of St. Mary’s University and the Texas Tech University School of Law.

Miller is of counsel to the firm’s Corpus Christi office. He is board-certified in civil appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His practice also includes the defense of civil lawsuits. Miller currently serves as a member of the Court Rules Committee of the State Bar of Texas and as a vice-chair of the Appellate Advocacy Committee of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section. Miller is a graduate of Rice University and the University of Texas School of Law.

Huffman is an associate in the firm’s Houston office. His practice focuses primarily on the fields of admiralty and maritime law, and he recently received an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell.  He is active in the Federal Bar Association and is currently the Vice President of the Southern District of Texas Chapter.  Huffman is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and Baylor School of Law.

Super Lawyers based its Rising Stars selections on lawyer nominations, general public nominations, and 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Rising Stars are selected from lawyers who are 40 years old or younger or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.
