John M. Elsley

Mr. Elsley has significant experience in civil litigation, arbitration, and appeals with a specialty in admiralty law matters.  He has handled a range of litigation in state and federal courts, including trials and appeals in state and federal courts.  Mr. Elsley's trials and appeals have included representation of numerous vessel owners and operators in connection with collisions, cargo damage (dry and liquid), Charter Party disputes, Contracts of Affreightment, demurrage/freight, general average, general inland tug and barge, salvage, ship repair and commercial litigation matters.  He is a registered arbitrator with the Houston Maritime Arbitrators Association and has had significant experience in HMAA, SMA, AAA, and other arbitrations.
